A short 400m down London road are two restaurants an Indian – the Connoisseur and the very popular Nepalese Indian – the Nepalese Chef. Opposite these two restaurants are three take-aways.
Before the two Indian restaurants is Alvin St on your right. At the end of this street cross over to a Greek restaurant – Dinos.
Back at the Indians on London Rd; go to the end, cross the lights into Northgate St and Sebz, a Portuguese Tapas restaurant is on your right. A little further along Northgate Street you have St Aldate street on your left. Up there you have a lovely authentic little Thai restaurant In Town Thai.
Going further on from Sebz up Northgate street to the cross, straight on takes you into Southgate St, this is about 10 mins for faster walkers. Raikes House a characterful pub is on your right, Tiger’s Eye – Asian fusion, Café Rene – a very popular character pub, Topoly’s – Italian and Aroma – Indian are on the left.
