The Edward Hotel Gloucester

The Edward Hotel in Gloucester sits in a Victorian, townhouse terrace and faces London Road, once the final part of the Roman Ermin St. To the rear is a courtyard garden and large car park with **NEW TYPE 2 SECURE EV CHARGER**

The Edward is the only privately run hotel with parking in the city centre. Our guests are our reputation so we welcome you with pleasure, look after you as family and part as friends.

Our hotel location is a bonus – the city is a short stroll of around 10 minutes so we are out of earshot of the city nightlife. Our bar closes at a civilised time and we do not hold functions. That means you can escape to the Edward for a truly relaxing evening and a peaceful night.

We blend reasonable quality with good value, the contemporary with the traditional, and professionalism with informality giving ‘The Edward’ a uniqueness and distinctive character.

Our uniqueness is cemented by our two galleries. The ‘Historic Gloucester’ gallery runs throughout the hotel with photos and lots of information of all aspects of Gloucester though the Ages.  The gallery in the dining area offers a two part conundrum, part one solved by many part two solved by three in 10 yrs.

We do not claim to compete with hotels offering a la carte dining, antiques and leisure facilities. We offer a pleasant place where you can have a memorable stay at a civilised cost.

We have opted out of the star rating system, but remain as accredited HETB members. We were two stars, a hotel without a dedicated restaurant. The review based systems though open to misuse, generally gives a more accurate picture.

So check our scores and reviews on TripAdvisor, Booking.com etc and have a look at our pics and descripts. Hopefully we will see you soon.

At ‘The Edward’ what you see is what you get.
