Disabled / Less Abled Access

The buliding is a Listed Grade Two starred, it does not have a lift but does have some ground floor bedrooms and a few rooms with just eight steps.

The access from the rear is via a ramp from the car park and a single step into the hotel, a temporary ramp is available for this step.

None of our rooms are purposely built for disabled / less abled access but we have had a number of wheelchair users and less mobile persons use the ground floor rooms successfully. Some of the ground floor bathrooms are more compact than others which can help persons that can stand but wheelchairs cannot access bathrooms. Some bathrooms have lever taps. The width of the doorways into rooms ranges from 69.5 to 70.5 cms. We can keep wheelchairs safely if they are not needed in the room.

Although in general we do not accept pets we make an exception for guide dogs. Guide dogs are most welcome, we have three possible rooms available.

Being so close to the hospital we are used to special access requests and will do our best to help within the restraints of the building. If you have specific requirements please ring and we can talk them through.
