Parking is limited in Gloucester, you can arrive early at the hotel or leave your car after checking out, otherwise there are two multistorey car parks and plenty of parking at the Docks |

Gloucester has plenty of nice restaurants but you can't walk along one street and browse and choose, they are mainly tucked away, so ask at the hotel or view our restaurant guide |

| Getting you bearings |
Gloucester was built in the form of a cross where North south East and West Gates protected entry into the city. The Edward Hotel is in London Road an extension of Northgate St, the Docks are along Southgate, the Cathedral along Westgate and the Guildhall along Eastgate St. |

the best viewpoint walkable from the hotel is at Over bridge, there are many more view points just outside Glucester |

the tour of the tower gives excellent views of Gloucester, disabled parking only so walk from The Edward Hotel. Harry Potter was last here Feb 08. |

the 'working' dry dock area on the far side is worth viewing, plenty parking it is worth noting while redevelopment of shops goes on there is no tea coffee venue other than in the Antiques Centre or Waterways Museum |
